The eight clubs participating in the AFC Futsal Club Championship 2012 will know their opponents on April 26 when the official draw for the finals of takes place at Movenpick Hotel, Kuwait City.
A six-member AFC delegation team will be travelling to Kuwait for the draw alongside final inspection of the venues and a series of meetings. Detailed discussions on the tournament arrangements with the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) are also on the agenda of the visit which culminates with the eagerly-anticipated draw of the third edition of the AFC Futsal Club Championship.
The venues Al Qadsia (main) and Al Arabi (second) are proposed to host the six-day championship. The clubs participating in the championship are: Sanaye Giti Pasand (Iran), Yarmouk SC (Kuwait), Nagoya Oceans (Japan), All Sports SC (Lebanon), GH Bank RBAC FC (Thailand), Thai Son Nam (Vietnam), Ardus Tashkent (Uzbekistan) and Al Rayyan (Qatar).
Being the host country's club, Yarmouk SC qualified automatically while the representatives from Japan, Iran and Lebanon also received direct entry by virtue of club's from those countries finishing in the top three places at the previous edition of the tournament.
GH Bank and Thai Son Nam reached the finals by finishing first and second respectively in qualifying Zone 2 while Uzbek giants Ardus topped Zone 1 to book their tickets to Kuwait alongside runners-up Al Rayyan, third-place finishers at the 2010 AFC Futsal Club Championship in Qatar.
