Beirut: Lebanon national team will face UAE in two friendlies at home on Thursday and Friday (20.00) at President Emile Lahoud Complex, within the preparations of both parties for the Asian Cup finals from 25 May to June 1 in Dubai.
The two matches will be considered as an important occasion for our national team in order to know the level that we reached after more than two months of preparations for the continental tournament.
The squad was involved in trainings on daily basis where Spanish coach Paco Araujo was focused on the technical side, meanwhile physical trainer Georges Assaf was handling the fitness sessions.
Lebanon will welcome Spanish goalkeepers coach Agustin Garcia "May" (42 years), who arrived to Beirut from Las Palmas this morning, on a mission to raise the technical level of our goalkeepers before the AFC cup.
Morale status seems high in Lebanonís camp amid the insistence of the players to achieve the big target in May and qualify to the next World Cup after being caught in an acceptable group with Japan, Taipei and Tajikistan.
The last time the two teams met Lebanon won it 3-1 in the opening match of the west Asia qualifiers in Kuwait last December.
