The staff of the international portal www.futsalplanet.com is pleased to present the prestigious Futsalplanet Awards for the fourth successive year. Numerous figures from the world of futsal will once again be invited to cast their votes for the number 1 futsal player in the world. Compared with the three previous polls, the prize-giving for this year has undergone some changes: in addition to the customary award for the best player (which has so far been dominated on each occasion by the Brazilian Manoel Tobias), voters now have the chance to nominate their top goalkeeper as well as their favourite coach. We are also introducing an award for the best team (either a club team or a national side), which has made its mark over the past year.

Voters can therefore make their contribution to the 2003 Futsalplanet Awards in the following way:

- By selecting 3 preferences for each category (80 candidates for the best player, 50 candidates for the best team, goalkeeper and coach)

- 5 points for the number 1 choice in each category
- 3 points for the number 2 choice in each category
- 1 point for the number 3 choice in each category

The sole “restriction” in force for this poll concerns coaches who are already introduced in the list; they may not cast votes for their own coaching colleagues, but only for players/teams in the other categories.

The results of the Futsalplanet Awards will be announced on 26/01/2004 on the www.futsalplanet.com website.
