May sound a little bit surprising after the good results achieved, but it's surely official. The Takehiro Suga's era on the Japanese Women's Futsal national team bench came to an end as communicated today by the Japanese Footbal Association.

Same destiny for his coaching staff composed of assistant coach Azumi Fujita, goalkeepers coach Takashi Tomizawa and physical coach Tomo Omori.

The whole coaching staff is therefore leaving their job after an amazing 2025 in which Japan conquered the AFC Asian Women's Futsal Cup and then reached the Quarter Finals in the first ever Women's World Cup being eliminated by future champions Brazil.
