US Futsal National team looking for Lithuania 2020

Finally is official. The past weeks "whispers" were just waiting for the official confirmation by
US Soccer
, now there are no more secrets to hide. The Serbian trainer
Dusan Jakica
is the new head coach of the
US Futsal National Team
and will therefore start his hard job to reactivate a team which was basically inactive and abandoned since the last WC Qualifiers.
A very hard but ambitious task, in a country where the chaotic organization of the game see several different bodies setting up hundred of adult and youth leagues, featuring supposed national selections, while what should be the "official source" of the game (US Soccer) is often silent or absent.
What to expect now? For sure a basic point for US Soccer is to clarify who and how runs the game and, as a consequence for the new head coach

where to select the players to be involved in the new national team project.
A tentative schedule of the team, taking into account the "painful" and discussed cancellation of the 4 nations tournament in Miami, lists 3/4 training camps in different places of the (big) country starting in the next days and ending in January, with the chance to take part in an international "trip" between some balkan countries between February and March 2020. And then, the final goal: Lithuania 2020 Qualifiers (Guatemala, May 2020 according to some info).

Jakica will count on
Pablo da Silva
as assistant coach and
Otto Orf
training the team goalkeepers.
