For the 22nd time in our Futsalplanet Awards story we're going to celebrate the game and its best characters: a huge but priceless effort done for passion and increased season after season.

Our way to support the game and this endless passion has never changed: the spotlights are on the pitch and not on us. Maybe this is not the best way to gain selfish recognition (have a look on social networks to get the idea on how the game, or we'd better say the personal ego, is promoted) but we're surely not going to modify our mission following silly trends.

So, as promised twelve months ago, we have increased the categories dedicated to women's futsal: in this Futsalplanet Awards edition we will include the Best Women's National teams and their coaches. Though the women's international activity in 2021 has been once again quite poor, we have decided to provide our small but strong impulse for national FA's: believe in futsal, show and prove your commitment not just in words but in your actions. This goes to the game in general and FUTSAL includes women's, men's, youth competitions and any other category/activity supporting it. As Wales already followed the "brilliant" English example and as Covid-19 offer FAs an easy way to "cut" or cancel at all their futsal budgets we must firmly fight this toxic attitude and save the Best Sport On Earth future.

Futsal people often don't seem to realize that the only way to achieve our goals is to be united and the current state of our game it's anything but that. Just a little example: how UEFA can think about a club competition for women's futsal when in less than 20 days they see two tournaments with national league holders running with different names? Both of them were surely run and organised with passion and the best of intentions, but we need to be one single brain and body to succeed!

With special refer to countries which are not "futsal-focused" the efforts done by our people can make a difference. Don't complain, fight for the game and things will improve!

Let's try together: do something concrete for the game development, each within their own spheres of competence.

Let's get back to the Futsalplanet Awards 2021: today we will announce the Best Referee in the World ten nominees and very soon you will find out the other 13 lists included in this edition.

Who will win? In our mind there's just one name (incredibly some still don't understand it!): FUTSAL, the Best Sport On Earth!
